ED directed the theatre companies at Pascack Valley and Pascack Hills High Schools for 14 years, where he was also the set designer and set construction chief. He directed 28 main stage productions in the Pascack Regional District, and was advisor and director of the Junior Performing Arts Company in the Westwood Regional district for several years. He designed and built sets for The Woodington Players of Westwood High School for over 20 plays and musicals. He initiated The Pascack Hills Players as a member of the International Thespian Society, helped students create and produce several theatrical events as fundraisers for local charities, and established new theatrical events at the school: Senior directed one-act plays, Broadway Night, and Cabaret Night.
Ed's community theatre experience includes directing Rent, Dracula, and The Glass Slipper at The Rhino Theatre in Pompton Lakes, and performing in Amadeus and Catch of the Day at the Old Library Theatre.
He has been involved with IMPAA in set construction and crew.
