IMPAA DANCE COMPANY BIOGRAPHY
Originally founded in 2001 by Colleen Cross and Rosanne Renda, the Infinite Motion Dance Company is
an award-winning ensemble of dancers ranging in ages 5 through 17. Previously known as The Look
Sharp Dance Company, the studio was recognized as “One of the top 50 studios on the move” by Dance
Teacher and Dance Spirit Magazine. The studio was also voted “A Studio Above and Beyond Dance” by
Dance Magazine. In 2008 dancers were selected to appear live in Times Square for Disney’s “Club
Penguin”. Along with some Disney stars, the dancers were broadcasted live around the world
entertaining and teaching the newest “Club Penguin” dance. In 2009, Kat Greenleaf of The Today Show
featured the tap company in a segment highlighting “What’s happening in New Jersey”.
The award-winning dance company has traveled throughout the tri-state area performing, competing
and receiving numerous performance and choreography awards and scholarships to study throughout
the country. The company enters group routines, small groups, duo/trios and solos taking home high
score overalls, special awards along with regional titles. Groups are divided by age and ability and
receive a well-rounded dance curriculum training with our full dance company faculty under the
direction of Rosanne Renda, Colleen Cross and Tara Nixon.
The company faculty and choreographers include: Rosanne Renda, Colleen Cross, Tara Nixon,
Alyssa Magnusen, Megan Bartula, Christina Esposito, and Elizabeth Robinson.
Guest teachers choreograph each season including Danielle Bower, Derek Mitchell, Christina Grady
and Michael Pesko to name a few.
Most recently, our senior
dance company was selected out of hundreds of applicants to perform at the world renowned Joyce
Theatre with a piece called “Empty Wells” which earned two of our dancers a scholarship to study with
incredible industry professionals at NYCDA and The PULSE. In 2010, our youngest company members
had the honor of filming an educational dance video called “Veggiecation” promoting a healthy eating
lifestyle for all children.
In addition to studying dance with top professionals in the industry, dance company members
consistently participate in audition based programs throughout the country such as Synthesis Dance
Project’s Intensive, Tap Kids, and New York City Dance Alliance to name a few. Each season the troupe
competes in a few regional competitions, a benefit performance and concludes with a professional
performance showcasing their competition and performance pieces for the year. The company is
required to attend a two week annual dance intensive where dancers train with master teachers the
first week and begin choreography for the new season during the second week. This intensive is also an
audition week for newcomers. For more information on Infinite Motion’s Dance Company, please
